HeyGiud Communications

HeyGiud Blog

Meet Annie!

Hi, I’m Annie Giudicessi and I am HeyGiud Communications. That’s not meant to be an “I am Iron Man” sort of statement, it is meant literally, though I would much rather get to say that as cool as Tony Stark does. I am a one-person operation so I really do everything at HeyGiud. I am the CEO, I am the Content Strategist, I am the Designer, I am the Copywriter and Editor, I am the Salesperson, I am Customer Service, I am the Photographer and I am also the person who replies to emails, answers the phone and takes out the garbage. Being a small business owner isn’t all glitz and glamour, actually, in my experience, there is not nearly enough glitz and very little glamor. But there’s no way I’d trade what I do every day to do anything else. I love it.

While being a Small Business Owner is an important title, it’s only part of who I am. I am also a daughter, a sister, and an aunt. I serve as a Board Member for Central Iowa Center for Independent Living, a volunteer, and an activist. I am a wannabe photographer, writer, and music lover. I am a lifelong resident of the Beaverdale neighborhood in Des Moines. I am a Central College alum. I am a hobby baker. I am a stationery addict and paper planner lover. And if you couldn’t tell from the Iron Man reference above, I’m also a nerd.

Slow Down Sundays: Part 2

I’ve decided to create a new ritual for myself for July. I’m calling it Slow Down Sundays. What I’m trying to do is create a day where I disconnect from technology and find ways to reconnect with myself, my loved ones, and my hobbies. Hopefully, I stick to it and it becomes a regular thing.…

Friday Vibes: Colorful Color Coding

July is National Anti-Boredom Month. All month long I’ll be sharing with you things that help me keep the boredom away during the workday. Honestly, boredom is probably the wrong word, but I sit at a desk and stare at a screen all day so I need ways to break up my day and keep…

July’s Tuesday Tip Theme: Content Creation

So I think it’s time I talk a little more about what I actually do for a living and not just all of the fun hashtag holidays that give me an excuse to do things like eat ice cream or cookies on a random day. Though honestly, that’s one of the highlights of my job.…
